Biography

Morgan Nicholsfigueiredo

Morgan Nicholsfigueiredo is a third generation Burnaby boy, raised in Metro Town, residing in the Burnaby Brent Gardens tower since 2002 where he is active on the Strata Council and Social Committee.  With more than 32 years of experience as a Senior Commercial Property Manager in the Metro Vancouver area, he understands city process, development, permitting, licencing and the daily challenges businesses face in industrial, retail and office environments.

Morgan sits on the Burnaby Transportation Committee, supportive of safe and sustainable transportation modes, roads, paths and sidewalks.

He attends as many Burnaby festivals and events as possible, volunteering when possible, supportive always. He enjoys meeting people, getting to know them, hearing their stories, hopes and dreams.

Morgan meets weekly in a fiction writing group at Shadbolt Centre, spends Saturday mornings in a spin class at Metro Taekwondo where he used to train, plays guitar, attends live theatre, supports the New Westminster Film Festival, is a member of a monthly film club, enjoys reading history and watching documentaries.  Morgan and his wife love travelling the world to experience other cultures, countries and environments.

From an early age in Burnaby Cubs and Boy Scouts he learned an appreciation for the environment, which continues today.  As an advocate for the planet, he steps in where and when he is needed.

The Burnaby Green Party has proven to be very aligned with his principles and creates a solid foundation for Morgan to stand upon as he works to make Burnaby better for the future.
