Volunteers are essential to getting Green Party candidates elected to City Council or School Board and volunteering is fun! You will make new friends and learn new skills.

Membership in the Burnaby Green Party
The Burnaby Green Party is made up of voting members and non-voting supporters. Voting members guide the direction of the Burnaby Green Party Elector Organization. They elect Party leaders, decide who will run as candidates and vote on other Party business.

Criteria to be a non-voting supporter:
Anyone who wants to help advance the Green movement and Green politics who is approved by the Burnaby Green Party Electoral Organization leadership team. People who are members of other municipal political Party in Burnaby will not be approved.
Non-voting members are welcome to attend meetings that are open to the public and volunteer their time and energy to the Elector Organization.
Voting members and non-voting supporters pay an annual membership fee of $10, but anyone who has difficulty paying this fee may instead pay any amount they feel comfortable with to the Burnaby Green Party Electoral Organization as long as they meet the Elections BC criteria – any individual who is 18 or older and a resident of B.C. and either a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada may contribute to an election campaign.
Voting members and non-voting supporters must not be a member of another municipal political Party in Burnaby.
Voting members and non-voting supporters must keep all Burnaby Green Party business confidential, unless that information has clearly been meant by the BGP to be shared with the public and/or the press.
