Jen Jang

Jen Jang is a parent, community advocate and 20-year North Burnaby resident running for Burnaby School Trustee with the Burnaby Green Party. A third-generation Vancouverite, she is running because she has seen how quickly a growing district can place pressure on students, families and school communities. She wants Burnaby schools to be well planned for growth, responsive to families, and guided by thoughtful, accountable decisions.

As President and Treasurer of a multi-building strata community with more than 340 homes, Jen oversees budgets, contracts, major projects and long-term planning. Her professional background in film production, marketing and logistics, together with PAC involvement and community volunteer work, has shaped her practical, transparent and collaborative approach.

Jen’s priorities are restoring school-based Grade 7 band, protecting counselling and mental-health supports, and piloting seamless childcare. She believes responsible decisions must be grounded in evidence and focused on the students, families and educators they affect.
